Kamiturugi: Paper Making & Printing
Created a series of banners for an event featuring traditional Japanese paper-making and origami, utilizing watercolor painting to make bright and attractive designs with unique typography.
Hud
Two different movie posters were made to cover a pair of styles.
On the left, a silhouette based design, calling back upon the old style of shadow theatre. Silhouette are an excellent choice when the need for an affordable printing that is also easily identifiable.
On the right, the art, inspired by classical Russian and Czech styles, features handsome and fantastical elements that are not only manly, but they also represent human imperfection as featured in the movie. It holds the quality and the unrealistic feel of a picture book as well as a hidden grimdark aspect to it.
Motor City Wheels
Designed a company logo and a series of business cards for a local delivery business. Emphasis was to showcase the local nature, combining aspects of Saga’s flag and emblem.
Alice’s Adventure In Wonderland
The project was to promote a new publication of ‘Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland’ on a series of public bus stop shelters. A standout look that plays upon the opening of the story, showcasing the opening paragraphs of Alice chasing after the White Rabbit, and tumbling down the rabbit-hole, additionally the large ‘L’ shape highlighting Lewis Carroll's authorship.
Kyubey Energy
Made a business card design, focusing solely upon using only a unique font and the company name. The energy company specializes in heating and cooling solutions, especially for large spaces.
Digital or Physical, design can elevate from mere utility to something striking, bold, and memorable. Banners, business cards, signage, and posters are still print mediums that are in use today.
